Dear Friends,

HAPPY NEW YEAR! I hope that 2010 is both Prosperous and Peaceful for you and your families...

As you read this, we have just finished filming in New York City - the final location for the 2009/10 series. I have filmed the Big Apple in every season except Winter...and now that box is ticked! We had a fabulous time staying at The Mark and The Peninsula hotels. We also cooked at Le Cirque, had private tours of The Frick, The Tenement Museum, The Brandy Library and spent an adorable morning with the folks from luxury clothing brand Robert Graham.

Last month we had two extremely successful filming trips: Oman and Thailand. In Oman we stayed at two superb resorts: The Chedi and Shangri-La's Bar Al Jissah and discovered a young country filled with culture and diversity. My special day was out in the desert with the bedouin people - no running water, electricity, telephones, televisions or toilet! Heaven!

From there we flew to Thailand. In Bangkok we stayed at the excellent Banyan Tree before zooming off to the Four Seasons Chiang Mai and The Four Seasons Tented Camp at The Golden Triangle. The Tented Camp offered me one of my favourite features of the year (& undoubtedly the most enjoyable Four Seasons experience EVER) - learning to be a mahout and bathing with an elephant!

We were flown around by Oman Air which is quite an impressive fledgling airline.

We are in the final throws of editing the series and the feedback for the shows already aired has been very positive indeed!

I have written nearly 300 entries on my daily diary insideluxurytravel.blogspot.com and still going strong!

I am pleased to announce that we start filming the 2010 Series in March and the destinations that we have chosen are (not in filming order): Melbourne, Hawaii, South Africa (East), Quebec/Montreal, Istanbul, Prague, Edinburgh, Abu Dhabi, Dallas, Shanghai, Barcelona and Tasmania. We are already planning for 2011.
